The Flag Football program, known as the High Prairie Bandits, encourages and promotes fitness and team sports throughout the season for players 6 years old and up. This includes an introduction to the game and basic rules of football. Flag practices are every Monday and Wednesday at E.W. Pratt Field from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. There are no equipment requirements however the use of cleats is recommended and can be purchased at any sporting goods retailer.
The Bantam Football program, known as the High Prairie Outlaws, is an introduction to contact tackle football and is aimed at students of all skill levels in grades 7 through 9. Focussing on fitness, training, sportsmanship and teamwork, the Bantam program will also teach the proper rules of the game and encourage development through knowledge. Bantam practices are every Monday and Wednesday at E.W. Pratt Field from 5pm to 7pm. Majority of equipment will be provided by the team. Spring training will be followed by a regular season that will mimic the High Prairie Renegades schedule. This will help to build, develop and grow a highly visible youth football program.
The Tackle Football program, also known as the High Prairie Renegades, is our senior high tackle program which is for students in grades 10 through 12 (some grade 9 students may be allowed to participate under special circumstances). Our goal is to support, encourage and enable youth to benefit from participating in football in a safe and structured environment. Through
our programs we teach: sportsmanship, fundamentals, teamwork, skills and knowledge that youth will use throughout their every day lives including the opportunity to encourage leadership, good citizenship and above all else to foster unity among youth athletes through participation in and support of this organization.

CFL Unites to Support Fort McMurray
All nine CFL teams and the League Office have united to support Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo who so graciously hosted the league on two occasions last season.
A combined $50,000 donation will be made to the Red Cross to support relief efforts. A special thank you to the Edmonton Eskimos who have helped lead this initiative.
“Our thoughts are with the people of Fort McMurray,” said Jeffrey L. Orridge, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League. “They have been our gracious hosts. They are our friends. And most importantly, they are our fellow Canadians. All of our teams, and I know all of our fans, wish them safe passage and in time a full recovery from this crisis.”
In addition to this donation, the CFL will contribute its proceeds from May 12, 2016, CFL/Adidas sales on CFLShop.ca to the Red Cross. That is the day the CFL is launching its new Adidas collection for the upcoming season.
